BLOOMBERG TO HOLD "SOONER THAN YOU THINK" CONFERENCE WITHIN THE "OPEN INNOVATIONS" FORUM
Global technology conference "Sooner Than You Think: Smart Cities" organized by Bloomberg and Skolkovo Foundation will be held in Moscow on October 22 as part of the "Open Innovations" International Forum.
"Sooner Than You Think" technology conferences have been held since 2017 by the event division of Bloomberg — Bloomberg Live. When forming the agenda, the organizers combine the experience of one of the world's largest business information agencies with the capabilities of the analytical resources of Bloomberg Global Data and Bloomberg Intelligence. Previously, conferences were held in London, New York, Paris, San Francisco and Singapore. Due to collaboration with "Open Innovations", Moscow will also appear on the "Sooner Than You Think" map.

Panel discussions and open interviews at the conference will be devoted to the development of "smart city" technologies in Russia and the world. 5G networks, unmanned vehicles, face recognition systems - innovations aimed at strengthening high-tech infrastructure. Experts will discuss which regulatory constraints, engineering deficiencies and security risks need to be addressed so that these technologies grow fast.
Speakers at "Sooner Than You Think" conference will be VympelCom PJSC CEO Vasil Latsanich, President of Microsoft Russia Christina Tikhonova, Group-IB CEO Ilya Sachkov, FaceApp founder Yaroslav Goncharov and Cognitive Technologies President Olga Uskova. The discussions will be moderated by Torri Clark-Shirnina, Bloomberg Managing Editor; Rebecca Penty, Team Leader, Telecom, Media, Entertainment, and Giles Turner, European Technology Editor.
