TECHNOLOGIES OF THE FUTURE: SKOLKOVO FINISHES THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM “OPEN INNOVATIONS”
This year, over 20,000 people visited Open Innovations. Over three days, more than 150 business sessions took place at the Forum.
“Open Innovations 2019” took place in the format of three thematic days - “Digital Man”, “Intelligent Economy”, “Future Technologies”. On October 22, a plenary session dedicated to the main challenges of digitalization was held with the participation of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
The speakers of Open Innovations were 655 representatives of business, science, government, top managers of Russian and international corporations, experts in high technology, education, and investment. The geography of the Forum participants included 102 countries, including Germany, Korea, Japan, the USA, France, Great Britain, Australia, Tunisia. The work of the Forum was covered by about 1000 representatives of Russian and foreign media, more than 40 press events took place.
Over 160 innovative solutions were presented in the exhibition space of the Startup Expo Forum. For many startups, “Open Innovations” has become the first platform for the presentation of ideas and developments.
Denis Kuleshov, “Sensor-Tech” Laboratory: “We introduced smart devices to help people with disabilities. Thanks to the active participation in the Forum of Russian Regions, interesting requests were received for pilot projects from Perm, Novosibirsk, and the Moscow Region. With some of them we can start this year. ”
Ivan Krechetov, Kleiber Solo: “The multifunctional bionic prostheses of the hands that we presented at the Forum interested the Moscow Government. In just three days, we received more than a hundred useful contacts, including new materials for our products. We also met one Paralympic, we will keep in touch. ”
Andrey Zolotnitsky, CT Park: “The main goal of our project is to create an ecosystem for cyclists based on smart locks. In the East Bound startup contest finals, our online bike and scooter parking service was praised by investors from Singapore. For us, this is perhaps the main result of the Forum. ”
This year’s “Open Innovations” program included the Tele-medical forum, a practical business forum on artificial intelligence systems RAIF, the Bloomberg Sooner Than You Think technology conference, the presentation of the Moscow Innovation Cluster, the East Bound international competition, and the final of the federal Education Innovation Competition.
Over three days, 29 agreements between Russian and international companies, foundations and development institutions were signed on the sidelines of the Forum. Among them: a partnership agreement on opening a corporate startup accelerator Orange Fab in Skolkovo; signing of the basic conditions for the creation of the Japan-Russia Fund “New Frontiers”; a memorandum of cooperation between the Skolkovo Foundation and the Russian Ministry of Health in the field of digital medicine; agreement of the Innovation Assistance Fund and the “Roscongress” Foundation on cooperation in the framework of the “Business Priority” project.
The co-organizers of the “Open Innovations” Forum are the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Government of Moscow, the Skolkovo Fund, RVC, the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs, the Innovation Promotion Fund, and the State Development Corporation “VEB.RF”.
The strategic partners of “Open Innovations” are RAIF (The Russian Artificial Intelligence Forum) and Russian Post. The general partners of the Forum are the Japan Trade Association with Russia and the Newly Independent States (ROTOBO) and the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM.
