From October 21 to October 23, the Skolkovo Innovation Center will conduct immersive tours with verbatim elements for the first time especially for the participants of the VIII International Open Innovations Forum.

Next year Skolkovo will celebrate its 10th anniversary. Its territory of 400 hectares houses a university and a technopark, laboratories and research instititutes, office buildings and residential quarters. This innovation center was from the very beginning created as a "city of the future" with an autonomous infrastructure. It regularly conducts sightseeing tours for school and university students and for all who are interested in the history of the Russian Silicon Valley.

In the course of the forum, the participants of Open Innovations will be the first to appreciate the new interactive tour format which includes theatrical performance of the verbatim (documentary theater) genre. Especially for this tour its authors interviewed the employees, residents and inhabitants of Skolkovo. Their real life stories will be played out during the tour by professional actors.

And it's not by chance that getting to know it starts with people's personal stories. The format of the documentary tour-performance is an opportunity not just to get to know the Innovation Center better but also to soak up the energy of innovation through the experience and impressions of specific people."

The actors and tour guides will show to the guests the unique buildings, art objects and modern solutions for urban environment, present the research centers of Skolkovo's industrial partners (Boeing, Sberbank, Renova, Tatneft) in Eastern Europe and familiarize them with the history of creation of the Innovation Center and with its residents. In the future, the interactive format presented at Open Innovations is to be included into the tour program on the permanent basis.

The tours will take place on October 21 and October 22 at 2PM and 4PM as well as on October 23 at 11.30AM and 1.30PM. The tour bus will be waiting near the Skolkovo Technopark, the participants are to arrive 15 minutes before the beginning of the tour. The tour is free for the participants of the Forum.
