Kenichi Takeda received the B.S. and M.S. degrees of materials science from Tohoku University and the Ph.D. degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1990, 1992, and 2008 respectively. He has been with the Central Research Laboratory, Hitachi, Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, since 1992, where he worked in the area of silicon semiconductor, especially fabrication technology and reliability physics and also in the area of biomedical devices, especially in nanopore DNA sequencer. Since 2017, He is General Manager of Healthcare Innovation Center of Hitachi Research and Development Group. A member of the IEEE and the Japan Society of Applied Physics. He has published more than 40 technical papers in the refereed journals and submitted 70 patents
