I have received my Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine and Master degree in Clinical Biochemistry from Ben-Gurion University (BGU) School of Medicine, Israel and my Ph.D. from Ben-Gurion University via the BGU/Fox Chase Cancer Center Partnership Graduate Research Program. I have completed my first postdoctoral training at the University of Florida and have joined Johns Hopkins University in 2012. Based on my record of research accomplishments, I was invited to join the Department of Otolaryngology as an Instructor in 2016, and was promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor in May, 2017. I was recruited to the University of Chicago, Department of Medicine in 2019. I have developed an extensive track-record of scholarship in an area of high relevance for cancer biology, and I am frequently partnering with researchers and oncologists in academia and the pharmaceutical industry to advance discovery of biomarkers for early cancer detection and anti-cancer interventions.
