Curator of art&science projects at the Moscow Polytechnic University (POLYTECH). MEDIA BODY MEDIA project (Laboratory of new communication)
Elena studied: - forensics at USLA; - fine arts at Moscow State Pedagogical University. M.A. Sholokhov; - media art and media performance at the Free Workshops School at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art;
Learning Innovation at the Higher School of Economics.
She exploring the word and body, verbal and non-verbal, multisensory communication. She works in the field of technological and media art, performance and sculpture.
As a curator, she has realized more than 100 exhibition, festival and educational projects related with language experiments, media poetry, search for new forms of communication, as well as inclusion. From 2013 to 2017 - She was the curator of digital literature projects on the Moscow Festival of Media Poetry and the Laboratory of Media Poetry, with the support of the Moscow Department of Culture (MMSI and the Open Stage project). In 2015-2016 she implemented the special project - “Noise Transcription” at the 6th Moscow International Biennale of Contemporary Art. Within the framework of Biennale the objects of inclusive media art were created for the first time in Russia (GDM, Moscow). She conducted creative and research laboratories “Body of the Text” in the direction of communication, new media and performance (NCCA, MMSI, Garage), 2015-2018.
Currently, Elena Demidova is a curator and tutor of laboratories and art & science schools at the Moscow Polytechnic University, as well as a curator of the research platform about multisensory communication "MEDIA BODY MEDIA".
