Agustín is Global Head of Strategic Partnerships at Telefónica Open Innovation, the unit of Telefónica Group that manages the acceleration programs and Venture Capital funds of the company, and that operates in 17 countries. Telefónica has commited more than €160M to VC investments.

Prior to this, he launched Wayra -Telefonica’s business Accelerator- in 12 countries throughout Europe and Latin America. Before, he was Manager of Securities Markets at Telefónica, advising in Public and Private Offerings in the European, US and Latin American stock markets. He also advised in mergers, acquisitions and block trade transactions and assisted the Board of Directors of Telefónica in corporate governance matters.

He is an enthusiast of entrepreneurship, having advised many startups in the past years. He is a frequent lecturer in conferences and symposiums worldwide. Agustín is also teacher at different universities and business schools. He holds an MBA degree from IESE Business School.
